Dear students,
Last week I presented you with this semester's SECOND CHALLENGE. As I explained in class, it consists in writing a rhyming couplet using iambic pentameters. As an inspiration, I reminded you of Shakesperare's last two lines in his "Sonnet 18":
So long as men can breethe or eyes can see
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
I also wrote a rhyming couplet myself, though it is not half as good as Shakesperare's... But here it is nonetheless:
The day you went away and left my side,
I nearly died... But chose to take a ride!
Hopefully, you will like this challenge and contribute your own rhyming couplets to the course blog. Thanks in advance for all your compositions!
Best wishes,
Carolina
